Commercial terms
The terms, before you ask for them.
Minimum order, Incoterms, payment and who carries freight. These are the questions that decide whether a conversation is worth either side’s time, so they are answered here rather than three emails in.
Our standard terms are not yet published. Ask and we will state them in writing before you commit to anything.
After the sample
From approved sample to shipped order.
- 01
Sample approved
You confirm the lot and the grade you want against the sample you cupped.
- 02
Order and terms
Quantity, pack format and incoterms are agreed in writing. Lot numbers are fixed at this point and do not change.
- 03
Documentation
Certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, and halal certification where the destination requires it.
- 04
Packing
Packed to the agreed format and marked with the lot number, so what arrives can be traced to what you approved.
- 05
Shipping
Dispatched by sea or air against the agreed incoterms, with documents released to you.
What actually binds a sale.
This page is a statement of how we normally work, not a contract. The terms that bind a shipment are the ones written on the proforma invoice and the sales contract for that order — quantity, grade, pack, Incoterms, payment, inspection and the claims window. If anything here conflicts with what is written there, what is written there is what counts.
